Beads of glass that "glisten like dewdrops in the morning sun"...

Ah, dewdrops in the morning sun... one of Spring's simple pleasures. It is also dewdrops that star in Iittala's Kastehelmi (Finnish for "dewdrop") line of glass dinnerware.

The glass droplets that intricately dot each piece in the Kasthelmi collection were actually inspired by an accident. Glass artist and Professor Oiva Toikka originally tried using them to cover joint marks left on the surface of pressed glass pieces, in 1964. Fifty years later, the "dewdrop" adorned glassware range has become one of Iittala's most loved.

I mean, just look at the footed bowls...

They come in 11 colors!

And what could be a prettier addition to your springtime place setting?
One of the best things about Iittala is their "combinability"-
you can mix and match from their different lines for eclectically fun dining experiences!
