Informative, fun & uplifting!

Best selling author and psychotherapist, SaraKay Smullens, will speak about the burnout that is so pervasive during these complicated times, as well as the self-care that can both eradicate it and prevent it.  She will also explain the differences between depression and burnout and will share her evidence based findings from her new guide book, “Burnout and Self-Care in Social Work."  Although the work is written for those in the mental health profession, all one has to do is think about one’s own professions — from lawyer, to homemaker, to volunteer — and the insights apply.  In addition, SaraKay will speak about her new three to eight session short term, interaction approach in helping one to find an “emotional sense of direction,” and stick to it, despite the chaos, divisiveness of the times and the many responsibilities each of us carry.
