Coupe or Flute?
That is the Question on our minds today at Scarlett Alley
(or are we just thinking about after work cocktails...)

ROOST COUPES, fun and fanciful

The Champagne Flute is the more commonly used vessel for our special toasts as of today, but historically the Champagne Coupe has been the glass of choice for our favorite bubbly.

Cheers to you Leo...Great Gatsby 2013

The coupe came into fashion in the 1930s. It was popularized in post-prohibition America at the Stork Club, where champagne flowed freely and celebrities had bottles of champagne sent to their tables, compliments of the house. The coupe was the champagne glass of choice through the 1960s. Recently, they have come back into style as a stylish and retro alternative to the more commonly seen flute.
